Band History:
Formed under the influence of alcohol in 2000, Foddershock released their first album- "Roadkill Expressway". A rather dark and haunting album, with tunes such as "Amphetamines and Grits", "Sock Monkey", and "Monster in the Closet".

In 2001 we released our second album, "Ghost Of Lonzo". This album contains one our most popular songs, "Drunkards Go To Hell". The song "Jump In The River" is also on this release and was recently used in the independent film "Coming Down The Mountain" produced by N.Y.C.`s Cyan Pictures.

2002 brought yet another fine Foddershock album, "One Good Eye". Difficult to categorize, this album contains everything from distorted banjo instrumentals to fuzzy folk punk. "Angel On Dirty Sheets" and "Wings and Warts" are standout cuts.

In 2003, Foddershock released what is possibly their best album to date, "Black Lung & White Lightnin'"- an eclectic mix of tunes ranging from the bluegrass of "Fate's Runnin' Late" , the sarcastic pop-folk of "Use Me, Do Me, Love Me", to the flat out garage rockin' of "Cahoots"

In the spring of 2004, Foddershock invaded the independent music scene with their album "Inbreds From Outer Space". From the pessimistic barnyard drinkin` tune "Can`t Win Fer Boozin`" to the flat out bong rockin` groove of "Stoned and Broke", this latest installment of Dysfunctional Folk Rock is truly an eclectical listening experience.

Foddershock`s newest CD, "Corn On Macabre" is here !

Dark, desperate and longing to be understood.  Foddershock trudges into the topics of murder, self pity, revenge, downright hate, and even love so stong that it wants to make you kill or at least be dead yourself.  Songs like these have  been recorded since...well...the beginning of recording.   Heavy Metal evil ??? Heh...the stuff I was raised on was pretty damn hardcore evil.  Yeah....that's right Bluegrass.  Yeah they had it all, robbin', killin', drinkin', fornicatin', moonshinin', back slidin' as well as weird run-in's with the moon and the devil, whoever he may be.  This album was the back slidin' sort in it's own right.
We hoped to return to a more simpler form of music, as most of "Corn on Macabre" is done acoustically.  Much like our very first album "Roadkill Expressway", "Corn on Macabre", is somewhat dark and touches on the seedy side of life and death, with a mixture of styles of music, and a twist to every tale. We also planned to pay a bit of a tribute to some of those songs of old that influenced me in my tender days of youth.  "Wild Bill Jones" is one of those traditional tunes that'll knock yer socks off, toe tappin' yet plum evil.  We also did a bluegrassy rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Gimme Back My Bullets".  Boy is that ever a song about somebody that wants his damn bullets back!!!  As well, we threw in a version of  "Country Death Song" by the "Violent Femmes",  the song tells a story of a man and family so poor, he decided he had to lure his daughter away and murder her in order to save the rest of the family....well...you get the picture.
One thing's for sure, no matter how we leave this old world, ain't none of us gets outta here alive.
